Turia Pitt Motivational Talk

On Saturday the 6th of June I had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the very inspirational Turia Pitt at the Brolga Theatre Maryborough.
Turia was burned terribly to 65% of her body in Sept 2011 by a grassfire when competing in a 100km Ultra Marathon across the Kimberley. She mentioned she passed away three times on the operating table and her amazing transformation has so far taken over three years and over two hundred surgical procedures. She wore her mask for two years and didn’t like it at all, mentioning how we all wear masks ….. something to think about!

She spoke of how people have so much more potential and are capable of so much more than they realise. If you really want to do something you will always find a way to make it happen, anything is possible if you never give up. Time is our most precious resource, make the most of every single day.
Earlier this year Turia ran the Huskisson 42km Marathon and beat her time from before her injuries! She is currently training between 8am – 11am in the morning to compete in an Ironman! 4km swim, 180km bike ride plus 42km run.

Turia mentioned that long runs can be tedious which I tend to agree with so she uses her imagination for distraction such as seeing herself as a messenger running to the Queen. Her talk was very amusing.
She mentioned one day she may get back into engineering as she missed the maths and spread sheets (I couldn’t think of anything worse hee hee) but for now is enjoying her motivational public speaking and supporting the charity Interplast plus possibly staring a family with Michael.
She has also written a book ‘Everything to Live For’, more info here! … and is currently working on her new book, ‘Life is a Gift’.

Over the past weekend I had the amazing opportunity of attending the Hay House Writers Seminar in Sydney as I had been fortunate due to the help and support of many voting for me and had WON a free ticket to the event.
Talk about Awesome, I learnt so much and had many questions and thoughts answered in relation to my self-published soon to be BEST SELLING ‘4 Week Program!’ plus my marketing jeanette maynes hao house writers seminarplan, my platforms, my websites and the way I am implementing my goals and book / program within the community.
The energy and vibration in the room was electric and I met so many wonderful friendly like minded people. I hung out with a lovely lady and made a new friend also a ticket winner being Melissa Gibson a psychic, we got along fabulously – the Butterfly Whisperer.
Now to finalise my Synopsis to present to Hay House!
Someone (or maybe more than one person) who attended the seminar will WIN a publishing package with them; I could be the next best selling author accelerating my passion to “Get Australia Motivated!”. I hope so as I can feel it within my whole being!!

I had the pleasure of meeting and having a photo with the authors in order (the 1st four even before the seminar started!) as per my Law of Attraction photo print out (pretty powerful – reminds me of my Law of Attraction Donald Trump picture here) and the rest throughout the two days. I was also on the print out as a featured author as I will be speaking at the seminar in the future (L.O.A. at work). I even had a photo taken on stage with my book to assist my Law of Attraction processes! All the authors had such inspiring stories and were great at public speaking.

This has made me so passionate about helping others be happy! Since the start of 2006 I have researched and been reprogramming my thoughts, behaviours, self talk and beliefs plus implemented new and exciting fitness, eating and lifestyle habits.

Beforehand, I had very negative self talk, plus unhealthy habits – junk food, smoking and drinking. You really don’t love yourself when you are slowly trying to kill yourself – one bite, puff or sip at a time!

I had lost 16 kilo’s in my early 20’s to get back to a healthy weight range (69.9 kg down to 54kg) but did that while still drinking, smoking and eating junk food! My behaviours didn’t change and I eventually put that weight back on due to these negative and self destructive habits and self sabotage from a very WEAK MIND!

I hit 30 and said, “THAT IS IT! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!” … BE ACCOUNTABLE! Stop blaming others, your situations, made up negative beliefs and your past! YOU are in control of YOUR life and BAM, I CHOSE TO CHANGE and well that was it!!

noosa halfI went cold turkey on the cigarettes, stating I am never spending another cent on this sh*t or putting one near my mouth ever again! AND I HAVEN’T. To do this I had to get off the grog. I did 42 days straight without a drink till I felt I had enough self control to enjoy a beer! I also said there is no way I’m putting on weight like everyone else while I give up smoking SO THERE IT STARTED! I grabbed a piece of paper, pencil, a calorie book and started writing everything I ate and kept under a certain calorie limit each day (thank god we now have speedy online websites to do this for us). I lost SIX kilograms straight up when I gave up smoking and then a further NINE kilograms as I learnt about calorie control, portion sizes and the importance of regular exercise.

I now run my own successful multi award winning graphic and website design business (DESIGN HOUSE), have climbed to Base Camp at Mt Everest, run the Great Wall of China Marathon, rode a Harley for many years and now realise and believe with all my heart that ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR ANYONE IN LIFE FOR ANYONE!

Today I’m extremely motivated, positive, passionate, driven and happy, which people comment on all the time. I don’t tolerate negativity, I have absolutely no concern what others think of me; that is their business, I do not lower my standards for anyone, I do not enable poor me talk and behaviour from others, nor do I associate with people that do not fully support me and lift me higher.

Working casual hours at a gym while finalising my Personal Trainer study made me realise people just have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA ABOUT THE CALORIES in food, correct portion sizes and how much energy is required to burn off what you eat, hence about 70% of Wide Bay residents(my home area) in Queensland being in the UNHEALTHY or OBESE RANGE.

Australia is today ranked as one of the fattest nations in the developed world and around 63% of Australian adults were classified as overweight or obese in 2012.

Therefore since 2006 beginning extensive study, research and implementation I decided to write the4 Week Program‘ SO OTHERS CAN TEACH THEMSELVES TO FEEL AND DO THE SAME, by being ACCOUNTABLE for themselves, as everyone deserves to be happy, and if I can help one person or preferably ONE TOWN at a time that will make me happy!

Every day is perfect for setting goals or starting fresh

But Hervey Bay’s Jeanette Maynes believes health and fitness should be a part of everyday life, not just as a new year resolution.

The personal trainer says every day was a perfect time for setting goals or starting fresh.

“Keep planning and keep achieving, it keeps the motivation flowing.

“Every day is a new exciting beginning, a change to change.”

Ms Maynes said there was “no excuse” for recent statistics that ranks Queensland at the top of the obesity scales.

“When you talk about obesity everyone goes off their nut trying to justify it,” she said.

“I think it time to start addressing the topic… people need to become accountable for their behaviours.”

Ms Maynes said the key to achieving a healthier lifestyle was having a strong mind and 100% focus.

“Write it down,” she said.

“You must clearly visualise in your mind that you have achieved the goal before you even start.

“Break it down into small steps that you can achieve each day.

“Exercise does change your life so make time for it in your routine – it really is worth it.”

Anyone who wants to start fresh has the opportunity to take part in Ms Maynes’ free 10km community challenge on Saturday, January 18, leaving from Enzo’s to the Urangan Pier and back again.

• Do not let anyone distract you. Do not eat rubbish because someone tells you to. Explain to others you have a goal and will not stray from it. Remove or avoid anyone or anything that does not completely support and encourage your goal.

• Have a strong mind. The first three weeks of starting a healthy lifestyle and fitness regime will be the toughest. Forming a new habit takes about 21 days. If that habit is clean eating and exercise you have just created a habit that your body will be thanking you for the rest of your life.

My first ever speech!

 

Today I presented my first ever half hour speech at the Fraser Coast University with Matthew Condon, Hugh Lunn, & Chris Collin.

“Set a goal to achieve something that is so big, so exhilarating that it excites you and scares you at the same time. It must be a goal that is so appealing, so much in line with your spiritual core, that you can’t get it out of your mind. If you do not get chills when you set a goal, you’re not setting big enough goals.” – Bob Proctor

When the library asked me to do this speech I though  …NOW This one is a Goal that Chills me! Presenting my first ever half hour speech at the university in the auditorium!!

Public Speaking I thought …. well I passed a toast masters course in grade 8 when I was 13, I’m sure I’ll remember how to do it! Talk about Face a Fear!

Luckily I do not think of fear as fear, I see it as adrenalin, excitement, anticipation and the opportunity to conquer a goal. So the preparation begin, I organised this goal into small achievable chunks plus I clearly pictured in my mind the task as being completed and an absolute huge success!! I saw a beer in my hand tonight to celebrate a successful speech!

“I  attended a talk by Jeanette Maynes at  the Hervey Bay USQ, where she spoke on the E Books she had published. The first part of the talk covered her experience of her trek to Mt Everest Base Camp with all the trials and triumphs that she encountered along the way. I found this account very engaging, and it fascinated me as to how someone would so willingly put themself through  t hat kind of challenge.   It was wonderful to be provided with an understanding of the cultural side of the Sherpas who assist climbers with their backpacks, and become the climbers’ best friend. At times it was humourous, and always uplifting. She held the attention of her audience well, which was assisted with the use of some great photos that she had taken along the way.

The second part of her talk was on running across The Great Wall of China. This account also kept her audience riveted as we listened  as to why Jeanette, would willingly welcome such a challenging experience. She provided some great insights into what you needed to tell yourself, and the mindset that was needed to keep going until the end, even long after the body wants to give up. Once again, there were some top quality photos to enhance her story.

The third part of her story, focussed on her role as a Personal Trainer and her ideas for promoting good health to her clients. She covered diet and exercise, and certainly showed us that she had walked the walk, and wasn’t just talking the talk. Although I found this talk helpful, I would have loved to have heard more of her own personal weight loss story, and the trials she faced along the way.  I think I would have identified with her story a little more, if this had been the case.

The next section, included her quest to become the best she could be, by reading books and attending seminars presented by the most successful  businessmen  in the world . Jeanettes’  account of meeting her idol,  Donald Trump, and the visualisation that had preceded  this event, was both touching and impressive. It was made clear to all of us, what was possible if you dared to dream, as she had.

In conclusion, Jeanette discussed her passion for graphic design, and website designing. Against the backdrop of the other topics she had discussed, this topic was a wonderful contrast. It highlighted her passion for design, and creating unique artwork. Overall, her talk was bright, bold and sassy, and showed her to be a real breath of fresh air. I look forward to hearing what she has to say next.”

Your Thoughts & Consciousness Impact Matter:
Recently I conducted an experiment from the book I’m reading e2 with the help of my Dad.
I have attached the experiment info, but what I did was will the beans on the LEFT side of the carton to grow quicker than the right.
The more energy aimed at the beans on the left apparently the quicker they will grow.
“With my innate energy, I will that the beans on the left side of the egg carton grow faster than the beans on the right!”

The results and what I learn’t:

Two beans sprouted on the left and only one on the right (on day eight, three beans had sprouted on the left and still only one on the right). So which side grew more?

Well the left grew more, as we were focusing on the left, but they were supposed to grow the tallest so really the right won this experiment.

Then I looked at my rules again “With my innate energy, I will that the beans on the left side of the egg carton grow faster than the beans on the right! … is not two beans faster than one?
I now realise it doesn’t say anything about height …. ha ha science always setting quantum lessons to figure out!

Perception is everything, how we see things in our mind may not be how they really are. We may stress ourselves out for no reason at all because of our mind and it’s beliefs.
Look at something from a different angle or perception and it could be a complete SUCCESS!!! Like my Beans on the LEFT!!

Unleash The Power Within

Last weekend I participated in one of the most amazing experiences of my life, ‘Unleash The Power Within’, a 4 day seminar with Tony Robbins in Sydney.

The main reason of attending was to firewalk which we did on the first day on coals between 1,200 and 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

I’d seen a picture on Tony’s website of Oprah doing the fire walk and I though, if Oprah can do it, I can!

I didn’t feel any heat what so ever, must of had my mind focused!

From then on what happened was so profound.

I completely reprogrammed my mind and have removed negative experiences from my life / childhood and created a new timeline.

I realised I was living my life with excellent standards but to reach the next level in life you must have ‘OUTSTANDING’ Standards which is only a 2mm gap you need to close. This will be beneficial in all aspects of my life especially my business.

On the last day we heard about nutrition which I also learnt some very profound new information and found this extremely interesting as I am studying to be a personal trainer.
I am now on day 7 of a DETOX Tony put us on and am loving it!!! No alcohol, caffeine and an alkaline diet + a few other new healthy & positive habits to incorporate.

This seminar was such a precious gift I gave to myself, the information was priceless and the results truly invaluable!!

For 3 days I have listened to some of the most amazing and inspiring millionaires from our country and the world including Anthony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki and DONALD TRUMP!

Talk about being on the biggest high ever!

As a motivated professional business woman it is extremely important to me that I learn from the absolute best for dynamic self improvement and that I am an EXPERT in my field improving what I can offer my clients in solving their business advertising problems to increase their confidence, profit and client base.

I like to set huge goals and go for them to inspire others to shoot for their dreams also and my latest goal was to have a photo taken with my business IDOL the legendary DONALD TRUMP currently valued at SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS!

Trump was introduced to the stage by Australian Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.

I just LOVE Trump and especially his TV series The Apprentice. He is such a wise, educated, funny  and intelligent business man with a hardcore, can do attitude and to me a great mentor.
He is inspiring, motivated, professional, successful, speaks his mind on all matters, extremely family orientated and I felt a real kindness in his presence.

Trump said, “I believe, get even with people, if they screw you, screw them back ten times as hard!”

Three years prior I decided I must achieve my goal to have my photo taken with Trump! I even photo shopped a photo of Trump and I two years ago to begin the Law of Attraction process.

After Trump finished his speech at the event, I went back for a question / answer session with him.  When I had pushed my way through 150 VIPs and security, bravely attracted Trump’s attention to ask for a photo and was given the go ahead he was wearing the same pink tie he had on in my photo shopped image!

He looked me in the eye and asked me directly if I had enjoyed his speech to which I replied with honesty I thoroughly did!!! We also made a few other small comments. I then made my way to the back of the room, where I was on such an adrenalin rush that I had achieved another long term goal that my knees began to shake!
Of course I have no doubt we will meet and converse again on many occasions.

Meeting my business idol and finally achieving my goal to have a photo taken with him has made me believe even more in the Law of Attraction, being positive and that anything is possible in life!!! What an absolutely amazing, thought provoking and sensational experience! One of many more to come!

Before the seminar I also ran 9km in the Sydney Running Festival across the Sydney Harbour Bridge plus checked out the beautiful Sydney Chinese Gardens afterwards!

You Can Heal Your Life Louise HayI have finally found what I would call my BIBLE!

…. something that makes clear and concise spiritual and life sense to me! Finally!

Beginning my spiritual journey over five years ago, when I finally realised I can make choices and changes in my life, I had heard of Louise Hay but never picked up her books.

OMG her philosophy based on forgiving your past, reprogramming our negative and self destructive though patterns and learning to love ourselves is universal to every human being!

We are each responsible for all of our experiences.
Every thought we think is creating our future.
The point of power is always in the present moment.
Everyone suffers from self-hatred and guilt.
The bottom line for everyone is,
“I’m not good enough.”
It’s only a thought, and a thought can be changed.
We create every so-called illness in our body.
Resentment, criticism and guilt are the most damaging patterns.
Releasing resentment will dissolve even cancer.
When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.
We must release the past and forgive everyone.
We must be willing to begin to learn to love ourselves.
Self-approval and self-acceptance in the now are the key to positive changes.

I have been learning abit about Buddhist meditation but feel being brought up Catholic and finding that too constricting in my life I don’t really want to take on another religion at this stage plus focusing on different breathing patterns and counting colours associated with calm abiding meditation was not especially what I was looking for. But I agree with Louise’s comments on meditation and think I will give that ago:

Meditation in any of its forms is a wonderful way to quiet the mind and allow your own “knowingness” to come to the surface. I usually just sit with my eyes closed and say, “What is it I need to know?” and then I wait quietly for an answer. If the answer comes, fine; if it doesn’t, fine. It will come another day.

This is another concept I like and see a lot of people struggling with:

So many of us feel that money is the most important thing in our lives and that we could not live without it. This is not true…. Our breath is the most precious substance in our lives and yet we totally take for granted that our next breath will be there. If we did not take another breath, we would not last three minutes. Now if the Power that created us has given us enough breath to last for as long as we shall live, can we not trust that everything else we need will also be supplied?

Being brought up Catholic and taught as a child that sex before marriage is a sin, I also absolutely love this philosophy now that I am free to chose what I believe is right for my body and values…

Who told you to deny any part of your body? Certainly not God. Our sexual organs were created as the most pleasurable part of our body to give us pleasure. To deny this is to create pain and punishment. Sex is okay, it is glorious and wonderful. It is as normal for us to have sex as it is for us to breathe or eat.

Just for a moment try to visualise the vastness of the Universe. It is beyond our comprehension. Even our top scientists with their latest equipment cannot measure its size. Within this Universe there are many galaxies.

In one of these smaller galaxies in a far-off corner, there is a minor sun. Around this sun a few pinpoints revolve, one of which is called Planet Earth.

I find it hard to believe that the vast, incredible intelligence that created this entire Universe is only an old man sitting on a cloud above Planet Earth … watching my genitals!

This book is also amazingly illustrated by Joan Perrin Falquet!
I thrive on colour and this version of the book is full of it, creating a positive happy vibe.

Reading this book feels to me like what I think winning the Lottery would feel like!!!!

Last night I went to listen to Deepak Chopra at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). What an intelligent, amusing and insightful man with a profound understanding of the universe. (Deepak Chopra is one of Oprah’s spiritual mentors)

Here are a few things I learned:
–       Our body’s our subconscious mind
–       The mind is in all cells of the body not the brain
–       Your body is in your mind which is a larger field of consciousness
–       The human body is not a structure it’s a process
–       In one year all atoms in our body are replaced – therefore the Deepac talking to me was not the same Deepac who visited Australia a year ago
–       The physical body is the recycling of earth, water and air
–       Our experience of the world is based on vibration
–       All thoughts are either choices or interpretations of past or future
–       Why can’t you be found in your body? Because you are not there, you are not in it. The body is in you.
–       Everything is a vibration.
–       Void is infinite possibilities, immeasurable potential

–       The Science of happiness; find happiness first then you will have happiness in relationships, finance, health etc. … don’t look for these things to make you happy.

–       Happiness Formula; H = S + C + V
Happiness equals Self Point in the brain plus Conditions of Living plus Voluntary Actions.

SELF POINT is determined in childhood; the first 3 year of our life. This is 50% of our happiness experience. You can change your self point through meditation.
CONDITION OF LIVING is what’s happening around you. 10%
VOLUNTARY ACTIONS, what we do every day. 40%

–       Are our choices for ourselves or do they make others happy?
–       Love is the ultimate truth. Love is God. Love awakens the soul.
–       There is no difference between you and the whole of the universe
–       The world is as we are
–       Have all the time in the world!

–       Our brain:
Right Hemisphere – works in the present moment, right here, right now. Looks, tastes, smells, sounds and feels.
Left Hemisphere – works in the past and future. Thinks in language, ongoing brain chatter.

–       Short daily MEDITATION (start with 10mins)

  1. Put your attention to the heart and say to yourself, “Who am I?”and see what comes up, if you drift away just come back to the question, “Who am I?”. Now ask yourself ‘What do I want?”
  2. Gratitude – Now be thankful for all the good in your life
  3. Now repeat, ‘I AM” to yourself for as long as you like (10 mins minimum)
    Put your attention on your body, feeling each body part, cell and atom to be light, white and sparkling

–       TOTAL WELL BEING

  1. SOCIAL; our moods, emotions, energy and information is contagious!
  2. PHYSICAL; sleep, yoga, exercise
  3. COMMUNITY; Share a cause
  4. CAREER; Use your strengths
  5. FINANCIAL: Don’t buy things to impress people. Spend money on experience & happy memories. The more you give the more you have.

Take the VOW – for well being!

This experience with Deepak has me on such a high! There is so much to learn and hearing his concepts makes me even more excited about the infinite possibilities in all aspects of my life!!!! I have so many new ideas and concepts to practise and put in place.

1st ever visit to the Kinesiologist – ‘Very Deep’

Kinesiologist As I love learning new things last week I went to see a kinesiologist due to the recommendation from a best friend; not really know much about the practice of Kinesiology at all.

It was explained that kinesiology is a way of identifying imbalances in the body including buried or suppressed issues and releases the emotion attached to a memory.
We don’t forget past issues but realise the emotions of attachment so we can objectively recognise the lesson without distortion.

After reading the energy coming from my body she explained I had disconnected from my earth node (crikey!) and then rectified this for me.

She explained an issue out of my control that had caused me pain over the past few years had also happened in a past life making the process of putting it behind me far harder than usual.

I explained I felt sorry for the people who cause me hurt and she explained this is Sympathy;

‘Sympathy – harmony of or agreement in feeling, as between persons or on the part of one person with respect to another.’

This is not appropriate as there is no harmony or respect from the other persons. It also stimulates a poor me attitude, allowing those persons to still have control. I should instead look upon the situation with Empathy;

‘Empathy – Identification with and understanding of another’s situation, feelings, and motives.’

I can forgive the people as they are deluded, I will not forget but I have moved on, it is in the past. My mind will continue to remain empowered to stand in my own strength. Therefore I can clearly see the situations as they are and am appreciative for the opportunity these people have given me to learn more about myself plus the development of new life changing knowledge and skills. They have taught me about the sort of person I don’t want to be.

Now when I think of people or thoughts that used to instantly make me angry my mind does not change from its calm level and my emotion remains the same. This I feel is new, excellent and very exciting!

An interesting saying I once read, goes something like this….. “Imagine if everyone threw their problems into a hat, would you pick a new one out or prefer to keep your own!!!”

I felt extremely relaxed and tingling sensations as I felt the energy moving within my body as we worked on healing the different energies and issues that arise on their own. I felt light as a feather afterwards! What a wonderful practice to experience, extremely interesting and I learnt so much! May have to go again for the fun of it!

A New Earth – Eckhart Tolle

A New Earth – Eckhart TolleI have now finished reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, the 6 million copy worldwide best seller book that I hope will sell over 100 million copies!
(That would be nice for Eckhart!)

What an intuitive, perceptive and enlightening book on how the masses think in an unconscious way creating their own depression based on their own ego. Living their life in a negative manner by constantly complaining, stressing, hurting  / demeaning others and seeking drama in their own lives as they believe this brings them attention / acceptance, makes them feel important  which they need to fuel on their ego.A New Earth – Eckhart Tolle These people are blind not realising they are creating for themselves and those around them more negativity, drama, unhappiness and depression and continue to live a mundane existence being that of a repetitive self destructive cycle.

This book helps you realise how to live your life with true openness and freedom, find out who you really are, by being present through living you life in the now. Stop searching for happiness in the future and material objects, or in recognition / approval from others; true happiness is already within YOU and can be found every day by being conscious in your thoughts, actions and precious timeless moments.

This book is a must read, it’s time to become more awakened!!!
