River Heads to Beaver Rock Paddock

Massive 14.5km hike through mud today!

A big thanks to Lindsay ‘Butch’ Titmarsh from Tandora for leading us thorough this amazing land, showing us the first leg of his amazing 81 km Double-Marathon Mud, Run for the Mary River and extending his awesome local knowledge!
We made it from River Heads to Beaver Rock Paddock 12.5km on foot via German Creek and were picked up at Turkey Creek Shed.
It was roughly six hours to get to Beaver Rock Paddock from River Heads.
Only 20 people have done this hike with Lindsay.
We were following the wild pig, fox & kangaroo tracks through the mangroves (No crocs thank god).
I ripped holes in my pants and had to throw away my boots as the sole came off one, we were in mud up to our knees!
What an amazing experience!

OPRAH hits BrisVegas!

Oprah Winfrey Jeanette Maynes 2

I had a wonderful time last night at the Oprah concert in Brisbane, I always like to learn from the absolute best on subjects, especially spirituality! Oprah’s talk was so inspiring and engaging I have listed some of my notes I scribbled down in the dark. I even took a photo of the big screen, not even realising at the time that the photo was off myself, the camera was on me!!

I didn’t quite get my ‘real’ selfie photo with Oprah this time but I have been putting it out to the Universe, so the Law of Attraction will provide! After all, it is Law!  🙂

Write down 5 things you are grateful for everyday guys and watch your life change right before your eyes!!!!

– Turn up the volume in your Life!

– Live your life on purpose & in Purpose!

– What is the real dream for yourself?

– Oprah loves being at home with herself and never gets lonely (Me too!!!!)

– Surrender the dream that you hold for yourself to the life that is waiting for you to claim.

– There is no life without a spiritual life.

– Success comes from connection to spirit | source | power.

– What are you here? We are all here for a purpose; we enter the world because we are spiritually called. Honour your calling!

– Use your personality and physical self to serve your spirit.

– Favourite quote: “I am the Master of my Fate, I am the Captain of my Soul”

– LUCK preparation meeting the moment of opportunity!

– Let no one keep you from your journey. Your life is validated through your service to other people. Use your job to service others.

– Oprah believes in; The 3rd Law of Motion (For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action)  and 1 Principle; The Principle of Intention.

– Every action, though & feeling is motivated by intention. What is your intention? You become what you Believe!

– “No” is a complete sentence.

– Control how you love, be love in the world.

– Excellence in the best deterrent! EXCELLENCE!!! Be the highest expression of who you were meant to be!

– Validation. Don’t ask others what they think, check in with yourself.

– Validation. When people ask, “Was that OK?”
What people want to hear is; Did you hear me? Did what I say mean anything? Do you see me? Do you hear me?

– Whisper = MESSAGE

Letter to the Editor

Larry Burch Aquavue

Dear Mr Larry Burch, Sorry for the delay in responding to your letter to the editor dated the 12th of October, (which was in response to my letter to the editor) I have been speaking in person to several Ministers at the Community Cabinet in Bundaberg on the 18th of October and further corresponding via email about our foreshore erosion crisis and development applications on the Hervey Bay foreshore.

Jon Black, Direct – General, Department of Environment and Heritage Protection and Chris Hill, Director, Department of Environment and Heritage Protection told Jannean Dean and I (to which I took notes); in person they sent a letter with technical advice that development applications on our foreshore DO NOT comply with “Module 10” of the Coastal Protection Policy.

Which then had us thinking well who approved it – in relation to Enzo’s Development application that they said they knew about and we were discussing. We recalled that Chris gave me his business card and said he would email the letter.

I wrote down these notes in front of Chris in relation to module 10 which he was over looking and giving me the exact words.

Further to this, the last words at the end of the day Jannean had from Stephen Johnston in relation to the foreshore was he will be looking into the concerns raised today.

Later towards the end of the day after our initial discussion at the start of the day with Jannean, myself and Stephen Johnston, Acting Director General, Dpt Infrastructure, Local Government & Planning he came to the table where in front of Jon Black I asked him about this letter (EHP’s technical advice to DILGP for Enzo’s Development  Application) to which he replied he would email it to me and took my business card. He also wanted me to email further info on Enzo’s development which I said I would once I had received his email. (This quote has been approved by Stephen Johnston)

So how then did they get approved?

Land zoned for PUBLIC USE as OPEN SPACE and set aside as an EROSION BUFFER should not ever be compromised or alienated by changing its use for the benefit of a commercial enterprise.

The Hon Dr Steven Miles MP, Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection and Minister for National Parks and the Great Barrier Reef spoke to me and agreed to come and inspect our foreshore erosion crisis and to do a hike on beautiful Fraser Island with me. I have contacted his office to arrange a time that would suit his schedule.
He also mentioned his government is in the process of putting far stricter regulations on Councils in relation to control of State land.

Now back to your letter to the editor:

My Statistics were direct from the CEO Lisa Desmond, Council, their Ordinary Meetings and Minutes so you will have to ask them if their stats are ‘crap’ or ‘for their own advantage’?
I personally wouldn’t be bragging about them, they do not reflect the voice of the community.

Of course you would think the Council has done a good job you have been handed a gold mine on a platter, then cry out poor me demanding the Council / community / rate payers protect YOUR business ‘located in a coastal protection erosion buffer zone from eroding?’

Cafe owner frustrated by lack of erosion protection – 6th Feb 2015 AQUAVUE
Cafe owner Larry Burch doesn’t know how much more frustration he can endure after the council shunned erosion protection for his beachside business. “It just does my head in – it’s a lack of support,” he said.

Council money for foreshore protection is allocated to protect public infrastructure and public esplanade or parkland areas, not private enterprise on our foreshore.

I have been further reading some or your practical knowledge and quotes in the Chronicle – $7m rock wall ‘last chance’ to protect foreshore – 21st Aug 2015

cottonwoode– Owner Larry Burch said he would prefer a rock wall similar to the one built outside Enzo’s Cafe at Scarness.  “Rock walls have stood the test of time.”
Really Larry?
Is that why the rock rubble wall at the Hervey Bay Sailing Club collapsed along with the boardwalk during ex-cyclone Oswald ?
The Council CEO Lisa Desmond verified in writing there are NO bulk sand bags in front of the Cottonwood trees adjacent to the east of this rock rubble wall. They are still standing?
Is that why the Council just approved more funding in August to once again rebuild the Scarness rockwall for a third time, when they only just rebuilt it at a cost of $1.3 MILL in Jan /  Feb 2015, six months earlier?
And how would your practical knowledge explain the Toogoom rock rubble wall breaking up, eroding in front and behind, and collapsing catastrophe?

Chronicle: Sinkholes appearing as Toogoom rock wall ‘built on lies’
Toogoom Rockwall
I really feel for the residents at Toogoom with the sheer incompetence of this Council. This would also be a good location for The Hon Dr Steven Miles MP to view.

– “Mr Burch said building codes had meant new rock walls weren’t visually appealing.”
Which building code, rockwall structure and material are you referencing here?

Please see picture below of Scarness rockwall at Enzo’s “Standing the test of time”….. well the THIRD test of time … are you sure you want one like this Mr Burch at rate payer expense?!

• Subject: Burch’s bull! Another Letter to the Editor from the Community

The appalling lies and misinformation of Larry Burch (FCC 12/1015), cannot be allowed to pass without comment.  The “waste” has been the wanton destruction of our coastal vegetation, the subsequent erosion and the loss of the key demographic of the younger tourist visitor.  He talks of those making criticism of this vandalism, having little practical knowledge, but what exactly is this guy’s qualifications?  He is unaware that all the science says the maintenance and improvement of coastal vegetation has been the best practice of beach erosion control, for over 60 years.  He then uses misleading anecdotal evidence about a single tree falling over.  The coastal vegetation requires the full gamut of plants to hold firm against the sea.  The upper canopy plants, the middle storey and under storey.  As it exploits every niche of space above, the full range of coastal plants exploits every part of the root zone as well.  Indeed the only parts that held firm under the wrath of ex tropical cyclone Oswald, were the areas that were left untouched, from the ignorant vandalism, euphemistically called “Enhancement” or “Beautification”.

This area is now being destroyed as I write this.  Another path, not 10 metres from the existing bike/pedestrian way, is to funnel thirsty coffee drinkers into Mr Burch’s beach hire lease that has morphed into a café.  He ends with the line “…so we can all improve our lot”, rubbish!  The destruction of the Esplanade, has been for the benefit of the few.  The hardest vandalism occurred in front of the vacant blocks with approved unit D.A.s.  While the other beneficiaries were the operators of “Beach Hire” businesses, that have been permitted to become restaurants, to the detriment of the existing owners and operators of businesses across the road.  They have lost both trade and “Goodwill”, well and truly got the shaft, while the beach hire leases have been given the gold mine.  Due to the “Material change of use” of these leases, the leases should be cancelled and both put to tender!

• Subject: Accentuate the positive. Another Letter to the Editor from the Community

IN RESPONSE to Larry Burch’s article to the Chronicle, 12th October 2015.

I’m not sure what article you were reading Larry because all I heard from Jeanette Maynes was a very a positive direction the Fraser Coast could be headed in.  If we invested our time, energy, money and resources into creating employment opportunities for many, then this would depict a clear vision for the legacy we would be leaving our future generations.

It is imperative we focus on sustainability, ensure proper processes are followed and build infrastructure that improves everyone’s lives across the entire Fraser Coast, not just a few. It takes courage to stand up and voice concerns especially when it is shared by many; in particular when they are warranted. Common Sense should be the Governing factor.

81 km Double-Marathon Mud, Run for the Mary River, September 2008

Lindsay TitmarshI recently met the very interesting local legend ‘Lindsay Titmarsh’ at a talk on dingoes at the Hervey Bay Community Centre. I took a photo of Lindsay holding a paper article with a picture of himself in his 20’s and a very interesting editorial he wrote on dingoes, ‘Living with the Wild Ones’. Noticing that I was into fitness Lindsay told me about his massive history making 81km mega ‘ultra’ marathon run he did when he was 60. It was his way of saying “No” to the proposed dam on the Mary River on Sunday, 7 September, 2008. I found it so interesting, impressive and inspiring I have asked him to forward his account of the event, which he has, so that I can share it with the public in this blog story. We’ve also made tentative plans to possibly go wild pig spotting together on his mangrove islands and to have a look around his property ‘Tandora’, so that should be another interesting blog story!

Lindsay Titmarsh Mary & SusanLindsay also kindly gave me one of his books ‘Mary & Susan’ Sister Rivers of the Fraser Coast and autographed it for me. The images and photographs are so magical and it is full of awesome and educational history!

To visit a place on this overcrowded planet of ours, where no other person has ever been, should certainly give the lucky participant a thrill. So it is when I venture out into the largely unexplored wilderness of the combined estuary of the Mary and Susan Rivers. Viewing an ancient, twisted mangrove tree for the very first time or standing in a few square metres of open mud in an otherwise seemingly endless scrub, is just magic.

He has also published another book being:

Tandora – A Pioneer’s Dream The author presents 36 chapters of ‘no holds barred’ interesting reading that has something for everyone. Droughts, floods, dingoes, wild pigs, horses, cattle, birds, trees, earthworks are just some of the topics explored.

Lindsay TitmarshRead more in full here of Lindsay’s massive effort and Erica’s report here!

Some people write letters, some people attend rallies, but for Lindsay Titmarsh of Tandora, a history making 81km mega marathon run was his way of saying “No” to the proposed dam on the Mary River on Sunday, 7 September, 2008. “I live with my family at Tandora, the only property situated beside the estuary of the Mary River. Having lived here for just over 100 years, we have seen the watercourse change dramatically in that time,” explains Mr Titmarsh. “For all of my life I have looked at the two hilly headlands, North Head and South Head, which are only one kilometre apart and form the mouth of the Mary River. Nobody has ever traveled on foot from one headland to the other. “I’ve wanted to be the first to do this run for years. The threat of a dam on the Mary River has given me the extra motivation to go ahead with my plans this year, a couple of weeks after my 60th birthday. I hope it will draw attention to the importance of the Mary River for the estuary and for the communities that live along it’s length.”I hope my run will help us prevent the damming of the Mary.”

Turia Pitt Motivational Talk

On Saturday the 6th of June I had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the very inspirational Turia Pitt at the Brolga Theatre Maryborough.
Turia was burned terribly to 65% of her body in Sept 2011 by a grassfire when competing in a 100km Ultra Marathon across the Kimberley. She mentioned she passed away three times on the operating table and her amazing transformation has so far taken over three years and over two hundred surgical procedures. She wore her mask for two years and didn’t like it at all, mentioning how we all wear masks ….. something to think about!

She spoke of how people have so much more potential and are capable of so much more than they realise. If you really want to do something you will always find a way to make it happen, anything is possible if you never give up. Time is our most precious resource, make the most of every single day.
Earlier this year Turia ran the Huskisson 42km Marathon and beat her time from before her injuries! She is currently training between 8am – 11am in the morning to compete in an Ironman! 4km swim, 180km bike ride plus 42km run.

Turia mentioned that long runs can be tedious which I tend to agree with so she uses her imagination for distraction such as seeing herself as a messenger running to the Queen. Her talk was very amusing.
She mentioned one day she may get back into engineering as she missed the maths and spread sheets (I couldn’t think of anything worse hee hee) but for now is enjoying her motivational public speaking and supporting the charity Interplast plus possibly staring a family with Michael.
She has also written a book ‘Everything to Live For’, more info here! … and is currently working on her new book, ‘Life is a Gift’.

10361997_10152317452388673_2832631163909102899_n“Until I decided to walk 180km from Langi Kal Kal Prison to Melbourne  in my Jail 2 Justice campaign the longest I had walked in years was in Hervey Bay – from the caravan park to the pier and back.

That’s why it is somehow fitting that there is a Hervey Bay connection this weekend with my campaign through your Enzo’s to the Pier and return. I am honoured  that Jeanette Maynes suggested to me that her free community walk should be a 10km Queensland celebration of ours.

The goal of Jail 2 Justice is twofold. To honour the families of the victims of crime. To ‘walk a mile in their shoes’. And to draw attention to my petition for a national public register of convicted sex offenders. When I was released from jail in March we had 43,000  signatures. That figure has grown by more than 80,000  to 115,000.

The campaign, and the walk,  have a strong Queensland  connection. On the final day, next Monday, we walk from Brunswick – where Jill Meagher was killed – to Parliament House in Melbourne to present the petition  to  Victorian  Premier Denis Napthine.

Joining me on that final stage will be Daniel Morcombe’s  mum and dad, Denise and Bruce Morcombe. This amazing couple have endorsed my campaign.

Thanks for taking part this weekend. I believe Australian  parents are angry, frustrated and scared about their children’s futures. A new national law, outlined in my petition, is a start.”

Jail 2 Justice Walk - Derryn Hinch petition 3“Help… Please!

THIS IS AN APPEAL to police, to the courts, to the child welfare authorities, to the so-called protectors of this community. It is an appeal to sanity. And if I don’t do this, I will never be able to forgive myself if something awful happens to another child. And, believe me, it will.” – Derryn Hinch

Sweet and Sour – Saturday, 17 May 2014

THERE WERE MIXED FEELINGS on a chilly May dawn today when we started our ten-day Jail 2 Justice walk from Langi Kal Kal Prison to Melbourne.
Positive vibes that we were trying to do something for a community wracked with anger, frustration and fear over what’s been going on in our courts and parole system.
But also the underlying truth that many of our supporters, including most of those walking today, have personal stories to tell and all of them sad ones.
They are the people we walked for today. A symbolic ‘walk a mile in their shoes’ event to show that Australians do care and want to do something about it.
About 45 of us started out from Langi Kal Kal this morning. At the end of the first ten kilometres I stole a quote from a baseball movie: ‘Build it and they will come’. – Derryn Hinch

Castle Hill Townsville & Magnetic Island

Johnathan Thurston (http://www.johnathanthurston.com.au/ ) told me today at Brisbane Airport (he was on the same flight out of Townsville)  that he does Castle Hill in 11 mins!!! I did it yesterday but didn’t take much notice of my time (though I just checked and it looks like I took about 25mins to get to the top on runkeeper!!!). I was out exploring Townsville on foot starting at Castle Hill, returning to the Casino via The strand. Give it a go next time you are in Townsville, Awesome Workout & Magnificent View!!! –http://www.explore-townsville.com/castle-hill.html

I also spent two days on Magnetic Island prior doing two big trail runs to check out the beautiful scenery and the Forts walk which leads to historic WWII fortifications and infrastructure.

HEAR WHAT OPRAH WINFREY HAD TO SAY ABOUT MEN

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn’t want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.

Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that’s not meant to be. Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can’t “be friends”. A friend wouldn’t mistreat a friend.

Don’t settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don’t stay because you think “it will get better.” You’ll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better. The only person you can control in a relationship is you. Avoid men who have a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn’t marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently? Always have your own set of friends separate from his. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up. Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.

You cannot change a man’s behavior. Change comes from within. Don’t EVER make him feel he is more important than you are. Even if he has has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.

Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else’s man. If he cheated with you, he’ll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you. All men are NOT dogs.

You should not be the one doing all the bending… Compromise is two way street. You need time to heal between relationships. There is nothing cute about baggage… Deal with your issues before pursuing a new
relationship. You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you. A relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals. Look for someone complimentary… not supplementary.

Dating is fun… Even if he doesn’t turn out to be Mr. Right. Make him miss you sometimes… When a man always know where you are, and you’re always readily available to him ~ he takes it for granted. Never move into his mother’s house. Never co-sign for a man. Don’t fully commit to a man who doesn’t give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others.

Scared of being alone is what makes a lot of women stay in relationships that are abusive or hurtful: Dr. Phil says… You should know that: You’re the best thing that could ever happen to anyone and if a man mistreats you, he’ll miss out on a good thing. If he was attracted to you in the 1st place, just know that he’s not the only one. They’re all watching you, so you have a lot of choices. Make the right one. Ladies take care of your own hearts… ❤

Unleash The Power Within

Last weekend I participated in one of the most amazing experiences of my life, ‘Unleash The Power Within’, a 4 day seminar with Tony Robbins in Sydney.

The main reason of attending was to firewalk which we did on the first day on coals between 1,200 and 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

I’d seen a picture on Tony’s website of Oprah doing the fire walk and I though, if Oprah can do it, I can!

I didn’t feel any heat what so ever, must of had my mind focused!

From then on what happened was so profound.

I completely reprogrammed my mind and have removed negative experiences from my life / childhood and created a new timeline.

I realised I was living my life with excellent standards but to reach the next level in life you must have ‘OUTSTANDING’ Standards which is only a 2mm gap you need to close. This will be beneficial in all aspects of my life especially my business.

On the last day we heard about nutrition which I also learnt some very profound new information and found this extremely interesting as I am studying to be a personal trainer.
I am now on day 7 of a DETOX Tony put us on and am loving it!!! No alcohol, caffeine and an alkaline diet + a few other new healthy & positive habits to incorporate.

This seminar was such a precious gift I gave to myself, the information was priceless and the results truly invaluable!!
Thank you Tony, you certainly did create value and more than expected!!!

Please, please, please start teaching your program in schools you could revolutionise the world even more by programming correct mind, body and nutritional habits from an early age!!!

Some other information I learnt from my notes:

– Emotion is created by Motion.

– Put yourself in a PEAK STATE!

– Who you spend life with is who you become.

– People lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group.

– Find a peer group that has higher expectations that your own.

– Find a team that is going to challenge you.

– Every single person has 2 primary fears: 1. You are not good enough  2.  You won’t be loved

– The only thing that stops you getting what you want is the story you tell yourself.

– Problems & Happiness have no relationship.

– Wire yourself for certaintly and you will find the skills

– We live what we hold in out subconscious

– Secret to wealth and happiness; to be a team player

– Treat people well who treat your poorly

– Life is about LOVE

– Proximity is Power!

– “If I can’t, then I MUST!”

– The secret of life, STANDARDS!

– Want to change your life then raise your standards.

– Raise your standards means turns your shoulds into musts.

– Compete with yourself.

– See things completed in your mind first.

– How much you earn or who you are in a relationship with comes down to your beliefs or values.

– Our rules & values can make it impossible to feel good.

– More joy = less or better rules

– When you are grateful there is no anger or fear.

The purpose of life is to be happy? Right or Wrong?

Thank you Mr Pitt for your wise words last night on Sixty Minutes, people put too much pressure on themselves believing you must be happy all day everyday!!
Content is good!

TARA BROWN: That’s OK. I guess the point is are you happy or are you unhappy?

BRAD PITT: I think happiness is overrated, truthfully. I do. I think sometimes you’re happy, sometimes you’re not. There’s too much pressure to be happy. I don’t know. I don’t really give a shit. I know I will be at times and I know I won’t be at times. Satisfied, at peace, those would be more goals for myself.

TARA BROWN: So, is Brad Pitt content today?

BRAD PITT: Content. OK, I will go with content. Uh, I dare say so. I probably won’t be next week.

TARA BROWN:
But then you will be the week after?

BRAD PITT: But then I will be the week after, so I’m content with that.

What is happiness or success to you? Pleasure or Pain?

“Successful people admire other successful people; unsuccessful people resent them. If you view wealthy people as bad in any way, you can never be rich, because how can you be something you don’t like?” – T. Harv Eker

“Happy people admire other happy people; unhappy people resent them. If you view happy people as bad in any way (no matter what it is to the individual that makes them happy or successful; family, community work, achievements, money, career, their looks, their friends….), you can never be happy, because how can you be something you don’t like?”

Who’s to say what is real and not real, or important or not important, successful or not successful to them but the individual themselves with what they know in the present moment?

Is it OK to be happy, successful and have money as long as long as you do not RELY on this for inner happiness?
The Dalai Lama is one of the happiest people and his organisation one of the wealthiest in the world, having won numerous awards and is surrounded by luxury, people pay top dollar to listen to him speak about inner peace … yet his life is based on Three Main Commitments for his inner happiness and not the above.

There are so may ways to feel rich inside.

What is happiness or success to you? Pleasure or Pain? And who is the judge ….. you??? Do you make conscious decisions? or follow the opinions of others?

[Anthony Robbins]

TRUMP and JEANETTE

For 3 days I have listened to some of the most amazing and inspiring millionaires from our country and the world including Anthony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki and DONALD TRUMP!
Event details here.
Talk about being on the biggest high ever!

As a motivated professional business woman it is extremely important to me that I learn from the absolute best for dynamic self improvement and that I am an EXPERT in my field improving what I can offer my clients in solving their business advertising problems to increase their confidence, profit and client base.

I like to set huge goals and go for them to inspire others to shoot for their dreams also and my latest goal was to have a photo taken with my business IDOL the legendary DONALD TRUMP currently valued at SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS!

Trump was introduced to the stage by Australian Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.

I just LOVE Trump and especially his TV series The Apprentice. He is such a wise, educated, funny  and intelligent business man with a hardcore, can do attitude and to me a great mentor.
He is inspiring, motivated, professional, successful, speaks his mind on all matters, extremely family orientated and I felt a real kindness in his presence.

Trump said, “I believe, get even with people, if they screw you, screw them back ten times as hard!”

Three years prior I decided I must achieve my goal to have my photo taken with Trump! I even photo shopped a photo of Trump and I two years ago to begin the Law of Attraction process.

After Trump finished his speech at the event, I went back for a question / answer session with him.  When I had pushed my way through 150 VIPs and security, bravely attracted Trump’s attention to ask for a photo and was given the go ahead he was wearing the same pink tie he had on in my photo shopped image!

He looked me in the eye and asked me directly if I had enjoyed his speech to which I replied with honesty I thoroughly did!!! We also made a few other small comments. I then made my way to the back of the room, where I was on such an adrenalin rush that I had achieved another long term goal that my knees began to shake!
Of course I have no doubt we will meet and converse again on many occasions.

Meeting my business idol and finally achieving my goal to have a photo taken with him has made me believe even more in the Law of Attraction, being positive and that anything is possible in life!!! What an absolutely amazing, thought provoking and sensational experience! One of many more to come!

A big thank you to Michael Burnett from Empowernet for successfully organising such an Amazing event!!

Before the seminar I also ran 9km in the Sydney Running Festival across the Sydney Harbour Bridge plus checked out the beautiful Sydney Chinese Gardens afterwards!

Some of Trumps’ quotes from his speech:

–       “Be totally focused, you can’t take your eye off the ball”
–       “Rich people don’t like rich people, historically, well I don’t”
–       “I like Losers to be my friends”
–       “The harder I work the luckier I get”
–       “You can make yourself Lucky”
–       “You need passion, go against the tide”
–       “Go with your gut, go against the tide, I like that”
–       “Get even with people, if you don’t they will continue to go after you”
–       “If someone screws you, screw them back in spades!”
–       “Always get a pre-nup!”
–       “Think Big, it’s much easier”
–       “Focus on the positive”
–       “The word momentum is very important”
–       “Believe in yourself, see yourself as a one man band, see yourself as victorious, you have to think like a WINNER!”
–       “Can you take the pressure!”

You Can Heal Your Life! by Louise Hay

I have finally found what I would call my BIBLE!

…. something that makes clear and concise spiritual and life sense to me! Finally!

Beginning my spiritual journey over five years ago, when I finally realised I can make choices and changes in my life, I had heard of Louise Hay but never picked up her books.

OMG her philosophy based on forgiving your past, reprogramming our negative and self destructive though patterns and learning to love ourselves is universal to every human being!

We are each responsible for all of our experiences.
Every thought we think is creating our future.
The point of power is always in the present moment.
Everyone suffers from self-hatred and guilt.
The bottom line for everyone is,
“I’m not good enough.”
It’s only a thought, and a thought can be changed.
We create every so-called illness in our body.
Resentment, criticism and guilt are the most damaging patterns.
Releasing resentment will dissolve even cancer.
When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.
We must release the past and forgive everyone.
We must be willing to begin to learn to love ourselves.
Self-approval and self-acceptance in the now are the key to positive changes.
When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.

I have been learning abit about Buddhist meditation but feel being brought up Catholic and finding that too constricting in my life I don’t really want to take on another religion at this stage plus focusing on different breathing patterns and counting colours associated with calm abiding meditation was not especially what I was looking for. But I agree with Louise’s comments on meditation and think I will give that ago:

Meditation in any of its forms is a wonderful way to quiet the mind and allow your own “knowingness” to come to the surface. I usually just sit with my eyes closed and say, “What is it I need to know?” and then I wait quietly for an answer. If the answer comes, fine; if it doesn’t, fine. It will come another day.

This is another concept I like and see a lot of people struggling with:

So many of us feel that money is the most important thing in our lives and that we could not live without it. This is not true…. Our breath is the most precious substance in our lives and yet we totally take for granted that our next breath will be there. If we did not take another breath, we would not last three minutes. Now if the Power that created us has given us enough breath to last for as long as we shall live, can we not trust that everything else we need will also be supplied?

Being brought up Catholic and taught as a child that sex before marriage is a sin, I also absolutely love this philosophy now that I am free to chose what I believe is right for my body and values…

Who told you to deny any part of your body? Certainly not God. Our sexual organs were created as the most pleasurable part of our body to give us pleasure. To deny this is to create pain and punishment. Sex is okay, it is glorious and wonderful. It is as normal for us to have sex as it is for us to breathe or eat.

Just for a moment try to visualise the vastness of the Universe. It is beyond our comprehension. Even our top scientists with their latest equipment cannot measure its size. Within this Universe there are many galaxies.

In one of these smaller galaxies in a far-off corner, there is a minor sun. Around this sun a few pinpoints revolve, one of which is called Planet Earth.

I find it hard to believe that the vast, incredible intelligence that created this entire Universe is only an old man sitting on a cloud above Planet Earth … watching my genitals!

This book is also amazingly illustrated by Joan Perrin Falquet!
I thrive on colour and this version of the book is full of it, creating a positive happy vibe.

Reading this book feels to me like what I think winning the Lottery would feel like!!!!
I hope you feel the same when you read it! x
Don’t delay like I did!

Thank you Louise, all my love Jeanette xoxo

Sir Charles Kingsford Smith

In 1931 my grandmother and her father had a 15minute plane ride with Sir Charles Kingsford Smith in the Southern Cross.

She wrote on the picture, “He and his navigator & mechanic were on a ‘barn storming’ flight to raise money to continue flying. There were not any big government handouts in those days. We enjoyed the flight but I got alittle fright when the plane hit an airpocket & suddenly dropped. The Southern Cross can be seen at Eagle Farm Airport. My children so much enjoyed seeing it – The flight cost my father one pound.”

Dalai Lama 2011 Visit to the Sunshine Coast

As you may know, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit Chenrezig Institute on June 16, 2011 to bless the Garden of Enlightenment, discuss modern-day ethics with senior high school students, officially reopen the Gompa, and give a public teaching on Developing Compassion.

Organizing His Holiness’ visit is a vast undertaking and a sub-committee has been established to manage the planning and preparations. An enormous amount of work is required to ensure we’re ready to support 3,500 people on the day. … more info here.
