Wow how much has this town changed since visiting there as a child!

The trail running / hiking track was awesome with a gorgeous swap and boardwalk plus a lot of soft sand.
There were a few goanna’s on the track and we rescued a tawny frog mouthed owl from the side of the road and delivered it to the local vet which unfortunately meant we ran out of time to find a second trail to run.

I enjoyed some beer and whiting for lunch at the Woodgate Beach Hotel and sat on the top deck with a magnificent view. Definitely a trip to do again.
