Ted Sorensen; LNP Hervey Bay Candidate

On Friday night at the Hervey Bay RSL Ted Sorensen, former Mayor of Hervey Bay was named as our LNP Candidate. Mr Sorensen will run against Mr Andrew McNamara in the next State Election.

LNP State President, Bruce McIver said he was excited by the prospect of having Mr Sorensen out listening to the local community and working hard to raise the issues of the Hervey Bay electorate in the lead up to the next State Election.

“For over ten years now Labor has taken the residents of the Hervey Bay area largely for granted. After over a decade of Beattie-Bligh maladministration it is time the people of Hervey Bay got a representative in State Parliament prepared to speak up on their behalf and ensure their needs and expectations are both listened to and acted on.

“Ted is determined to become part of the new LNP team which offers new solutions and new approaches to the everyday issues affecting the lives of residents of the Hervey Bay.” Mr McIver said.

“His dedication to the Hervey Bay region is without parallel. Ted has dedicated himself to ensuring the local community thrives and prospers as Mayor, and I expect Ted will continue to see that this happens as part of the a future Springborg-led LNP State Government.”

I decided to check out the LNP Policies & principles online more closely and feel they do seem to adequately sum up the Australia Way of Life.

    Jeanette,

The list of priciples above are common to ALL political parties in this and many other western countries. Sad top say few follow them when in power. I’m more interestd in LNP’s polices.
What one really has to ask, is why will the LNP be any differnt to the Liberal/National coalition?

    Hey Jeanette

It’s great to see that Hervey Bay will finally great a great candidate in Ted. I reckon he and Lawrence Springborg will do a first-rate job as a Queensland Government. Much better than Beattie/Bligh and Co!

God help Hervey bay because Ted Sorrensen cant. You type his name on the internet and you read about his failures with wide bay water. You need strong leadership in Hervey Bay and this requires someone with high intelligence and a good understanding of the complex issues of the region. You cant have some popular local in this position but when no one else stands up for the job who else do vote for . What a way to win an election.
    Good luck Hervey Bay
